Helixir Co., Ltd. is a unique biotech company that focuses on the development of novel therapeutics, including drugs and nutraceuticals. Product candidates are identified through a database of traditional herbal medicines and their mechanisms are scientifically unraveled using high throughput technologies as well as sophisticated molecular and cell biological methodologies. Through this process, essential quality control systems for producing high quality products in a consistent manner have been established.  
Helixir has six major products in development and several other early stage candidates under investigation. Each major product serves a different market and therefore, each one has distinctive target customers, market potential, competition, industry growth rates, etc. Helixir’s product portfolio diversification is deliberate and serves to reduce the outlay risk associated with any one product failing to reach adequate value creation. One nutraceutical product is near completion, and this particular product has already been separately licensed to a U.S. biotech company and a Korean pharmaceutical company. Meanwhile, Helixir’s molecular biologists, biochemists and pharmacologists continue their research efforts to identify active ingredients in the pursuit of developing these product candidates into new generation medicinal foods and/or drugs. Currently, Helixir carries out clinical trials for various drug and nutraceutical products in compliance with the applicable regulatory procedures needed to penetrate into the U.S., Japanese, and EU markets, as well as in Korea.
